H.265, is a smart image compression method through high efficiency video coding (HEVC) technology, which promises to save up to at lease 30%-50% storage space than the previous generation H.264. This is undoubtedly a great news for the ever changing high resolution technology of surveillance video! With the next generation of smart package transmission, the master control end can easily enjoy a high definition and steady video surveillance effect. (Note: still pending on the actual network speed and the connection quality of the master control end and the controlled end).
Both Shield R5 NVRs system and the paired IP surveillance camera have the built-in PoE function and can directly connect to the host unit or the PoE distributor. No matter it is installed by regular household members or constructed by a professional engineering company the wiring task can be done easily. There is no need for secondary wiring for the power supply, nor worry for problems of poor connection due to different wiring methods.
Traditional DVRs and CCTV start to function once connected, however, for people with hidden motives, they can easily control the whole system once acquire the passwords. Shield R5 NVRs can not only set up the security level and restrictions for each function, also, you can add a password to IP camera monitor for another protection.
The biggest difference between Shield R5 NVRs and a traditional DVRs is the flexibility in hardware configuration! The traditional DVR requires all wiring to be eventually connected to the video recorder host unit for control. For people with hidden motives, they can follow the cables, locate and break the stored video images or the host unit directly. However, Shield R5 NVR allows the wiring ends for the recording host unit and the video camera to be implemented and controlled separately, even to the extent, that a remote backup video can be operated synchronously. The wiring can be implemented as a configuration of a small regional area or an extension through the PoE distributor for a more effective central management.
The present HD CCTV generally can be divided into three systems, AHD, TVI and CVI. After the customer selects to use one of the systems and needs to replace or repair it, the customer often purchases the wrong equipment or learns that the system has been discontinued. However, such situation hardly will happen to Shield R5 Series NVR since, in the field of IP network surveillance, “Onvif” has been established as the mainstream standard now. Shield R5 Series NVR also supports the monitor resolution of 720P to 4k. It definitely poses a promising future.
Shield R5 Series NVRs supports smart analysis alarm function. The current system can provide electronic fences, AB 2-point line crossing detection, lost/left item detection, movement detection and notification, privacy masking, etc. In the future, more smart functions will be developed and introduced to effectively increase work effectiveness and statistical analysis.
NVRs and IP surveillance cameras are the mainstream of the future surveillance technology. Not only can they provide an image resolution of true high definition, but also can they include various additional functions in a simple and effective way. Users can operate more flexibly and effectively, making the surveillance system no longer a still recorded image.
